The Loving Purple Light (LPL) is honored to participate in the Hawaiʻi Department of Education’s upcoming professional development workshop, Building Mindful School Communities: Practices for Educators and Students, taking place on February 13, 2025 at the Windward District Office. This full-day gathering brings together counselors, teachers, and school support professionals from across Windward Oʻahu to explore practical, accessible approaches that support educator well-being, student focus, and a positive school climate.

 

As part of the afternoon program, LPL Founder Denise Drake will lead a session introducing The Loving Purple Light relaxation practice and the Keys to Well-Being framework. Participants will experience simple, calming tools designed to help educators reconnect with themselves and bring a sense of ease, clarity, and connection into their classrooms. LPL is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with DOE partners and school communities in cultivating supportive learning environments that benefit both educators and students.
